Mmmm...I am a child of the sun. It's warming up ever so slightly and I love it! I have a fond memory of sunny Texas, when I was in kindergarten. It was a sunny, sunny day, and it must have been an afternoon is spring.
We had this new box of crayons...and guess what? They were all different colours and each had a unique scent! I was sitting at a table right next to a big window and the sun was streaming in all over the crayons.
The one I remember the most was a pale blue one called "Cornflower". I didn't know what a cornflower was and I still haven't seen one in my life yet. But it was this lovely colour and smelled so nice.
I have self-diagnosed synesthesia, where my senses mix. In particular, when I hear music, I see colours.
But seeing colours and smelling flowers - now that was something totally different, and totally cool! I love crayons.

Each one salutes me as he goes,
And I my childish plumes
Lift, in bereaved acknowledgement
Of their unthinking drums.
