Mmmmmm...disodium guanylate!

Oh yes...the joys of processed food. What I had for lunch today after my second exam:

Ingredients: enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), palm oil, potato starch, modified potato starch, salt, hydrolyzed soy protein, cabbage, monosodium glutamate, glucose, red pepper powder, maltodextrin, garlic, sugar, dextrin, green onion, carrot, potassium carbonate, anchovy, yeast extract, black pepper powder, onion, radish, ginger, rice powder, corn flour, beef bone stock, red pepper seed oil, shrimp, caramel colour, citric acid, corn syrup, natural flavours, sodium carbonate, cellulose powder, tapioca starch, sodium phosphates, soybeans, beef tallow, modified corn starch, tocopherols, beef extract, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate, malic acid, TBHQ, mushroom

Manufactured in a facility that also processes egg and milk.

I think the ingredients speak for themselves.  I was going to look up things like "beef tallow" and "TBHQ" but I decided against it.  The noodles are too yummy to stop eating...and I think I definitely would stop eating them if I knew what they were really made of...

Much worse than my "Wheatex discovery", I must say...

Each one salutes me as he goes,
And I my childish plumes
Lift, in bereaved acknowledgement
Of their unthinking drums.
