Haha! She puts on so much make-up that she sometimes does resemble a drag queen, but she is definitely female.

Evidenced by the pictures not wearing make-up...she has like a "stage Sumi Jo" side and then a "human Sumi Jo" side. lol... sorta like Lady Gaga but with high notes and colouratura? :P

My mom was a tomboy as well as a complete delinquent. She joined Boy Scouts when she was little (left when she was 16-17), and did various things that leave me wondering at how she wasn't ever arrested. Or murdered; there are a lot of stories of hers that belong on a crime show.

And yet she's a happy, successful statistics PhD who used to freak out at me for going to a friend's house after school without telling her. People really do change. :)

You should definitely go for that. It's a great goal that will keep you on the piano, and imagine the satisfaction afterwards! :D I'm sure you can do it.

I've always been told that I play musically. Sometimes I do this to a point where my technique really suffers, but at least I can convey emotion through my playing. :P

Very cool! I deleted my other comment which I wrote wrong...he made his first piano concerto FIRST (piano trios are opus 1) though he wrote it second on purpose. But these days we always love to pull out these early things and say, "Look - it's early Beethoven!", etc. I'm sure Beethoven would be pissed. :P
